Eiffel Tower

Louvre

Home to the most extensive art collection in the world, the Louvre is known to many as the greatest museum in the world. A former French palace, the Louvre is now famous for its glass pyramid entrance and for its role as the home of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.

The Arc de Triomphe is the center of the Champs Elysees and the heart of Paris. Montmartre

The stunning Sacre-Coeur basilica, also known as the Sacred Heart of Paris, sits on top of the hillside neighborhood of Montmartre. Built in 1914, the white basilica features incredible views over the city from its dome. The district of Montmartre has been home to Paris’ greatest artists, and is also known as the nightclub district.

Jardin du Luxembourg

The most famous park in Paris is the Jardin du Luxembourg, or Luxembourg Gardens. It's the perfect spot to relax and soak in a sunny day at the park. Built for the French royal family in the 1600s, the Luxembourg Gardens feature a royal mansion, pond and hundreds of trees.

The Catacombs

For a historical experience underground, take a tour of the Catacombs of Paris, one of the most extensive historic catacomb displays in the world. Holding the remains of more than six million people, this former mine pays respects to those lost in the French stone mines, with skeletons lining the labyrinth’s pathways.

Place de la Concorde and Place de la Bastille

Two of the biggest squares in Paris, the Place de la Concorde and Place de la Bastille are modern-day gathering spots with rich history. The Place de la Bastille commemorates the storming of the Bastille prison, the spark of the French Revolution. The Place de la Concorde was once the site of public executions during the French Revolution.

River Seine

Running throughout the center of Paris is the River Seine. For an authentic Parisian experience, grab a baguette or a crepe and settle down on the banks of the Seine, or take a boat tour down the river. Two of the Seine’s most famous crossings are some of the most romantic spots in the city. The Pont Alexandre III is known as the most ornate of the Seine’s bridges, while the Pont des Arts is where couples used to attach locks representing their love.
