Visiting the Georgia Aquarium is sure fire way to escape the sweltering southern heat and humidity. Located just three miles from the tournament site at the Atlantic Station, the Georgia Aquarium is the largest in the U.S. and contains over 100,000 animals including whale sharks, bottlenose dolphins, manta rays and hundreds of other species.
Not just some pretty flowers and towering trees, the Atlanta Botanical Garden boasts some pretty out-of-this-world exhibits. Dive down the rabbit-hole in the Botanical Garden’s breathtaking Imaginary Worlds: Alice’s Wonderland, which includes a 27-foot tall rabbit overlooking the Queen of Heart’s garden, playing card soldiers and all. While you are there, mix and mingle at Atlanta’s prettiest cocktail party, Cocktails in the Garden, every Thursday from 5:30-9:30 p.m. ET.
