The wait is over for “the most lifelike tennis simulation ever released,” as TIEBREAK: The Official Game of the ATP and WTA launched on multiple platforms on Thursday.

Initially slated for a 2023 release and ‘officially’ unveiled back in April, the game has been available for early release on Steam for PC—where it has already garnered enthusiastic and “mostly positive” reviews in the lead up to its full launch.

TIEBREAK is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and on PC via Steam, with a Nintendo Switch version set for a later release.

“TIEBREAK offers tennis and gaming fans a thrilling way to experience the ATP Tour and Hologic WTA Tour,” said Daniele Sanò, the ATP’s chief business officer.

TIEBREAK features a seriously deep roster with more than 120 players—including all three members of the Big Three: Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

Users can compete in various game modes, including a Career mode featuring 90 official tournaments to choose from, a “Novak Djokovic Slam Challenge”, and a highly detailed creator mode that even allows players to design their own tennis courts and stadiums.

The video game was published by Nacon and developed by Big Ant Studios—the latter having also worked on other tennis titles including Tennis World Tour and AO Tennis, the first official licensed game of the Australian Open.

TIEBREAK marks the second major tennis video game release of the year, after Topspin 2K25 launched in April.
