Bernard Tomic continues to be an enigma on the tour, and not in a good way. The Australian looked disinterested during his first round match against Taylor Fritz at Roland Garros, losing in a quick 82 minutes, flying through his own service games; the final set occurred in just 20 minutes.
Q: Were you at your best out there today or was it the surface or the weather or a combination? What were the factors?
Tomic: Well, I didn't play good.
It's possible that Tomic could draw ire from the officials, potentially breaking the rule for tanking during a tournament. Yet it was press conference after that made Tomic look even more bored, answering questions in short bursts, admitting that he wanted off of the court by the end.
