Toni Nadal, Rafael Nadal's uncle and former coach, spoke to *Business Insider* **about Roger Federer's recent success. Things got potentially awkward when he was asked if he thought the Swiss was the greatest of all time, above his nephew.
"Right now, Roger is the best of all time," Toni Nadal said. "Nobody did what he achieved. Rod Laver was also very good, but no one has won 20 Grand Slam titles, a Davis Cup victory, and many other victories. Rafael has also won 16 majors, triumphed four times in the Davis Cup—but Federer is better, he's the best."
This probably won't cause any family drama, but it's interesting to hear. Nadal leads the career head-to-head record against Federer, 23-15 but Federer won all four of their contests in 2017.
Of course, the 31-year-old Nadal still has a few years to catch up. But health will always be paramount. Nadal pulled out of Acapulco with a hip injury, and then announced he's skipping Indian Wells and Miami as well.
