Setting: Shanghai, quarterfinals

Ranking: No. 7 vs. No. 1

Head-to-Head: 1-1

Any time one of the Big Three gets beaten, it's a big deal. Even still, no one expected Djokovic to lose at the Shanghai Masters. The defending champion had recently won Wimbledon and then the Japan Open only a week prior.

He was (again) on a streak of dominance and, as the No. 1 seed, it looked like an easy title after sweeping aside his first two opponents in straight sets.

Despite losing the first set, the No. 6 seed battled back to defeat Djokovic, 3-6, 7-5, 6-3. Though he lost to the eventual title winner in the semifinals, Daniil Medvedev, Tsitsipas is more remembered for this victory than the defeat.
