Alex de Minaur

Age: 20

Ranking: No. 18

The 2019 ATP Tour saw just one teenage title winner, when Alex de Minaur captured the Sydney International crown a month short of his 20th birthday. De Minaur wasn't nearly done after that, though.

He was a champion again in the American summer, when be beat then–21-year-old Taylor Fritz in Atlanta in one of the youngest finals of the year.

And, after winning the first round en route to his third title of the 2019, in Zhuhai, de Minaur really let his youth shine through:

Three wins would make the Aussie one of the season's most decorated players, just one shy of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, and two behind Novak Djokovic.

He'd also make the finals in Basel, where he fell to Federer, and the Next Gen ATP Finals.

The clear next frontier for de Minaur is delivering in the big events and against the top players, two areas in which he already improved massively this year. If 2020 is a continuation of the road he's been on, it'll be an awfully fun ride.
