The new year is almost upon us, and there's a crop of young players ready to make even bigger marks on the world in 2020. Let's count down the Top 10 ATP and WTA youth to watch:

Denis Shapovalov
Age: 20
Ranking: No. 15
Some rises, like that of Canada's Bianca Andreescu, are meteoric.
Denis Shapovalov's, meanwhile, has been a slow, steady burn from years of consistent growth, culminating thus far in the 20-year-old ending 2019 at career-high No. 15 ranking.
Despite a midseason dip, Shapovalov punctuated the decade with three impressive performances (and one first-round exit). In October, he picked up his first ATP title, at the Stockholm Open. He later made the final the Paris Masters by beating Fabio Fognini, Alexander Zverev and Gael Monfils, before falling to Novak Djokovic in the final.
