Alex De Minaur

The Australian picked up the title in Turkey to start his 2021 season by winning just two games. Bublik retired after a few minutes with an ankle injury, handing De Minaur his fourth carer ATP trophy and his first since 2019.

The 18-year-old American has battled her way through the qualifying rounds of the Australian Open, in Dubai. She beat veteran Mihaela Buzarnescu on Wednesday in three sets to literally punch her ticket to Melbourne.

Bernard Tomic

After years of controversy and disappointments, the 28-year-old Australian is returning to the main draw of a major, at home no less. He won two of his three qualifying matches in Doha in a third-set tie-break. It'll be his first Grand Slam showing since Wimbledon in 2019.

Mayar Sherif

The 24-year-old Egyptian made quick work of Aleksandra Krunic on Wednesday in Doha to secure her place in the Australian Open. She'll be the first Egyptian female to appear in the main draw in Melbourne. She was also the first to do so at Roland Garros last fall.

Sara Errani

The former Roland Garros finalist has overcome a lot to get to start 2021 on such a strong foot. She won each of her matches in Doha in three sets, taking out Ana Konjuh in the final round.
