The Adria Tour began on Friday with a press conference, kids day and exhibition. Life on site in Belgrade looked very, ver normal—to many's surprise. There were hugs, few masks and crowds.
“This is a positive message,” Novak Djokovic said. “Of course, you can see it from all different angles. You can also criticize, you can also say, well, this is maybe dangerous or not. It’s not up to me to make the calls, what is health-wise right or wrong, we’re just following what the government of Serbia is telling us."
Serbia has had relatively low instance of COVID-19 with 12,100 cases and 250 deaths. That's very low compared to the United States' 2 million cases and 115,000 deaths. But let's also note that Serbia's entire population is less than that of New York City.
