Every year, tennis players grace the world with extraordinary shots that leave viewers wondering, "How did they just do that?" Hot shots can be dives, winners, tweeners, basically anything that is a cut above the rest and has us mere mortals wanting more. There are dozens of amazing shots that happened in the past 12 months, but 15 of them were the best of the best. These are the best hot shots of 2016, one every day, counting down until the year's end.

Novak Djokovic starts this list off with a hail mary shot during his quarterfinal match against Rafael Nadal in the Rome Masters 1000 tournament. The Spaniard had the former world No. 1 on the edge, getting good depth and forcing him to be defensive.

However, just when it seemed like Nadal had the point, the Serbian pulled a backhand winner from out of nowhere, ripping the ball cross-court and celebrating like any master class player would. Djokovic went on to beat Nadal, 7-5, 7-6 (4).
