As the year comes to a close, it seems fitting to go over the best shots that made everyone watching say, "How did they just do that?" Whether it's a lob, a tweener, a winner, or anything in between, they all share a common title: magic. These are the best hot shots of 2016.

Andy Murray has had the best year of his career. The world No. 1 ranking, a second Wimbledon title, a second gold medal and his first ATP World Tour Finals title. The latter is where he made some of the best hot shots of the year, but this one really shows off his speed and skill.

On the verge of losing the first set against Kei Nishikori in the O2 Arena, Murray buckled down and had to sprint to catch a smash that would have ended the point against lesser players. However, the Brit got to the ball and nailed a down-the-line passing shot to fend off set point.

Murray ended up winning the match, 6-7 (9), 6-4, 6-4.
