Top ranking jumps: Ruusuvuori makes Top 150 debut

This week, some newcomers and elite players are all making jumps through the rankings. Emil Ruusuvuori is tearing up the ATP Challenger tour while Angelique Kerber is looking to regain a strong hold within the Top 10 again after being out of the select group for over two months. Here are this week's biggest ranking movers:

+23 – No. 165 to No. 142

For a player who has been dominating the ATP Challenger tour since May, not many people have heard of him. Emil Ruusuvuori has won three titles in four months, recently taking home the inaugural Murray Trophy in Glasgow. The ranking jump this week doesn't tell the full story. The 20-year-old has gone from No. 410 to well within reach of the Top 100 in just over 3 months, and is the highest-ranked ATP player from Finland by over 400 places.

+3 — No. 15 to No. 12

While the German didn't break back into the Top 10 in Osaka, she did rise three places to world No. 12, almost returning to her rightful place. The 31-year-old has been out of the Top 10 for almost two months. She won't make the leap back this week though as she lost her opener in Beijing to Monica Puig.

+3 – No. 22 to No. 19

The Frenchman moves up three places to No. 19 after reaching the Moselle Open semifinals, losing to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in two thrilling tiebreaks. It was the 25-year-old's best result since moving to his first Grand Slam final at the Australian Open, losing to Novak Djokovic, and his first time back in the Top 20 as a married man.

+8 — No. 45 to No. 37

Another champion this past weekend, the Czech earned her maiden title win a win over Magda Linette in Seoul in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1. This is far and away her highest career ranking, entering the Top 100 just recently at the end of April.

+37 – No. 129 to No. 92

The biggest mover of the week in terms of pure numbers, the Australian raked in the ranking points after making the final in Guangzhou. While she didn't win the title, losing to Sofia Kenin, she can be happy that she is firmly back in the Top 100 for the first time since the end of May. It also marked her first final since 2017.
