With additional mass in the hoop resulting in a heftier swing and solid feel at impact, the Graphene XT Prestige Pro delivered a more forceful ball than its mid-plus sibling. The more open string pattern also launches the ball higher than the MP, and applies additional spin with less effort. It’s still a challenging frame that takes ample swing speed to generate big serves and putaway power, but the manageable weight and forgiving string bed open this Prestigep to a wider audience. Though the feel isn’t as buttery as pre-Graphene models, the response and stability are more than enough for effective, aggressive all-court play—it’s a smooth performer at net, capable of giving and receiving pace. As one tester put it, “The feel when you hit the ball right? Classic.”

One drawback to the Pro, especially when compared to the MP, was an occasionally erratic response. Otherwise, the frame drew praise for its versatility, intimidating new cosmetic and overall solid play. As one tester surmised, “With a sub-50 lbs. tensioned poly, I could trade groundies all day with the Prestige Pro.”
