The 20-year-old lost in the opening round last year to Denis Shapovalov, and lost in the qualifying in his only other appearance in Melbourne. His best Slam performance so far has been the fourth round of Wimbledon last year.
Tsitsipas has set a few records already in his young career. He became the first Greek to win an ATP title when he captured the crown in Stockholm last year. He also won the Next Gen ATP Finals in Milan to close his career-best season. During his junior career, the former junior world No. 1 became the first Greek boy to win a Slam when he won the Wimbledon doubles crown.
