*Refinery29* called up Venus Williams recently for a stylish, not-so-wide-ranging interview covering her athleisure pet peeves, affinity for Uggs, personal historical fashion faux pas and, most interesting, what designer she'd most like to collaborate with in her career.

Williams hardly halted at that last inquiry, offering that she would quite like Tom Ford to come alongside her for a sort of mixed-doubles sartorial pairing.

"I eventually want to move beyond the women’s arena and bring men’s designs to EleVen—there’s no limit!"

Menswear and children's attire are both on Williams' mind as she, at 36, considers life and career beyond her professional ball-bashing days.

Elsewhere in the Q&A, Williams gave her take on public figures employing personal stylists: "I have in the past, sometimes; I think it just depends on where you’re going in terms of if you need one or not. If you’re going to the Oscars, then maybe you do. [laughs] Anything other than that, and you may not need one."

She's one to know, and she faces off against world No. 1 Angelique Kerber in her next match at the Miami Open, more or less her home court outside of Wimbledon.
