WATCH: Alcott honored with custom Nike shoes

Eight-time Grand Slam champion Dylan Alcott received a custom pair of Nikes from ANZ, honoring his commitment the game and his many achievements.

The 28-year-old was blown away. It was a way for Nike and ANZ to thank Alcott for his charity work in helping handicapped citizens.

The Aussie first played professional basketball, but now has built a storied career in tennis. In singles and doubles, Alcott won the Paralympic Games in 2016 and has been ranked No. 1 in the world since June 2015.

This week, he won the Australian Open wheelchair men's doubles title alongside partner Heath Davidson.

He'll play the singles final against Andy Lapthorne on Thursday. Alcott has done a lot to increase the visibility of wheelchair tennis, which is growing rapidly.

"Prime time, every match, main courts. It is sick. It is amazing," Alcott said. "I want it not just for our division, but everyone here. They do get great support. I played US Open, Wimbledon, Australian Open. So cool that Wimbledon has quad wheelchair singles and doubles. Hopefully Roland Garros is just around the corner, as well.

"It's like how it should be anyway, you know what I mean? It's crazy."
