Felix Auger-Aliassime took a ride in Clyde, Tennis Channel’s Confessional Cart while he was in Indian Wells. While that feels like it was years ago, it was only last month that players flocked to the desert in full anticipation of the BNP Paribas Open.

Now the Montreal native's 2020 season is on hold, as the most recent tour cancellation was Tennis Canada calling off the WTA edition of the Roger's Cup in his home city.

But let's get everyone's minds off the bad news by getting to know a little bit more about the 19-year-old currently ranked No. 20 in the world.

Q: What’s on your workout playlist?

Drake, obviously. You know Canadian artist. Not any song in particular. I'm more of the type to have a random playlist. I’ll go on maple music and just put “rap training” or “pop training". I kind of just go random with it.

Q: If you could steal a shot from a player in history, what shot would you steal?

Pete Sampras’ serve.

Q: What are you currently streaming?

Lately I've been watching Casa de Papel (Money Heist). It’s a Spanish show. They steal a bank and, anyway, lot of action, good streaming on the plane.

Q: What’s the last text message you received?

From my sister. She actually sent me a text they opened this brand new mall [in] downtown Montreal.

Q: If you could play an Olympic sport besides tennis, what would it be?

I guess the 100 meters. Track and field. Maybe it would be the long jump—something about track and field for sure.

Q: What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

I’ve received a lot of good advice. During my career I've had the chance to be surrounded by great people so one time a coach told me to focus on my level and to focus on the work that I have to do, then the results will come after.

Q: What’s the one question you’re just tired of answering?

Probably how I started tennis, because a lot of people know the story with my dad and how I started with my dad.
