Sports worlds collided when Roger Federer and skiing champion Mikaela Shiffrin collaborated at the Laver Cup on a segment for Barilla pasta called “Penne for Your Thoughts.”

The 23-year-old Shiffrin recently appeared in a CNN feature where she elaborated on her experience meeting one of her idols.

"He was better than I could have ever dreamed," Shiffrin told CNN. "To see that he can still maintain this kind of mature and modest attitude—Come on people, #BeLikeRoger."

In the Barilla video, Shiffrin was clearly nervous to meet Federer. At one point, she held his hand for an awkward amount of time, and then when the interview was finished, she keeled over and fled the stage.

Shiffrin asked Federer fun questions like, "Do you consider yourself a good cook?" and talked about his children and his favorite pasta.

Like Federer, Shiffrin has accomplished big things in her sport. At just 18 years old, she became the youngest-ever Olympic slalom champion. Along with her two gold Olympic medals and one silver, the American has also won three world championships.
