Things started off on the wrong foot for Dominika Cibulkova when she forgot her ballgirl at the WTA Finals in Singapore. The Slovak, playing in her first year-end championships, took to the court for her match against Madison Keys, and quickly corrected her forgetfulness.

"I was just waiving to the people around and forgot," Cibulkova said. "I see the ball kid. From my box they told me you forgot the ball kid. I thought, oh my god, no way she [will] feel so bad. So then I went back, and took her back… It was fine."

Keys would win the match, 6-1, 6-4.

Cibulkova also dropped her first match against top seed Angelique Kerber, 7-6 (5), 2-6, 6-3. If Cibulkova beats Simona Halep in straight sets, there’s still a shot of her reaching the semifinals.
