Jannik Sinner’s off-season has officially started following a 2024 season to remember.

And some fans may be delighted to know he’s as relatable as it gets when it comes to swinging a golf club.

So much so that the Italian’s father Johann couldn’t hold back his laughter when the two-time major winner’s attempted shot was fouled off and rolled backwards.

“Where do I hit this ball?” the bemused 23-year-old said with a grin.

The San Candido native chuckled at his failure, pointing to his dad before also smacking his right knee during the hilarious exchange.

On the court, Sinner went 73-6 as the runaway ATP year-end No. 1. In addition to triumphing at both hard-court majors, he went 8-1 overall in title matches that included hoisting the Nitto ATP Finals trophy—and won at least one set in every match contested.

Sinner's season wasn’t without controversy, having been found to bear “no fault or negligence” for twice testing positive for low levels of the anabolic steriod clostebol at Indian Wells. WADA subsequently appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport seeking a ban between one to two years in not agreeing with that finding, though is not looking to disqualify any of Sinner’s subsequent results.
