WATCH: Johnson hits around-the-post stunner in Rio

The Americans are into the Olympic semifinals.

With effort like that, Steve Johnson and Jack Sock are one match away from a medal in men's doubles, after beating Roberto Bautista Agut and David Ferrer to reach the semifinals. Johnson pulled off the flawless around-the-post winner in the very first game of their 6-4, 6-2 victory on Tuesday.

The American duo face Romania's Florin Mergea and Horia Tecau for a spot in the gold-medal match.

In singles, Johnson is taking on Evgeny Donskoy in the third round, while Sock is teamed up with Bethanie Mattek-Sands in the mixed event.
