WATCH: Kyrgios combusts in Cincinnati

On Wednesday in Cincinnati, Kyrgios and chair umpire Fergus Murphy were reunited, and it ended even more badly than their Washington encounter.

Two weeks ago in Washington, Kyrgios called Murphy a “potato with legs and arms," but he would win the Citi Open title. This time around, Kyrgios lost his second-round encounter with Karen Khachanov in Cincinnati, 6-7 (3), 7-6 (4), 6-2.

Here's a summary of Kyrgios' antics on Wednesday night:

During the changeover at 5-4 in the second set, he complained that Murphy was starting the shot clock too early, dragging Rafael Nadal into his argument.

When he lost the second-set tiebreaker, Kyrgios ranted loudly about Murphy and called him the “worst [expletive] ref in the game." He was handed a point penalty.

He then left the court for a "bathroom break." Once inside the player tunnel—but still on camera—Kyrgios destroyed two racquets before walking back on court. Murphy couldn't confirm officials had seen the destruction, so he couldn't penalize the 24-year-old further.

In the first game of the third set, Kyrgios got a time violation warning for gripping his racquet while Khachanov was waiting to serve. "Serve the ball," Kyrgios said.

From 2-2, Kyrgios lost the final four games and ended the match with a double fault. The Australian didn't shake Murphy’s hand, telling him, "You're a [expletive] tool" and spitting in his direction.

Khachanov will next take on Lucas Pouille, while Kyrgios has to pay a huge fine.

Kyrgios will possibly deal with more serious repercussions.
