INDIAN WELLS, Calif.—After the biggest week of his career in Acapulco, Nick Kyrgios tumbled out in his opener at the BNP Paribas Open. The Aussie lost to Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-4, 6-4 on Saturday.
"I was feeling good. I had, like, five days to kind of find my feet in practice and stuff," Kyrgios said. "I just didn't play well today. Yeah, that's normal."
There's rarely a Kyrgios match without a viral moment, and he didn't disappoint. He smashed a racquet, lost the first set and swapped his shoes from black to white Nikes, throwing his first pair to the crowd.
