Rafael Nadal's US Open quarterfinal win over Diego Schwartzman was anything but routine. Although the scoreboard reflected a, 6-4, 7-5, 6-2, straight-set victory it wasn't easy for the world No. 2.
Nadal sprinted out to 4-0, and 5-1 leads in the first and second sets, yet the Argentinian would battle back in both and wouldn't go away. The Spaniard not only had to worry about Schwartzman on the other side of the net, but also the sauna-like Arthur Ashe Stadium that seemed to trouble him greatly.
