Rafael Nadal has many die-hard fans all around the world of all ages. That fact couldn't have been clearer than when a trio of children in Rome were absolutely giddy to collect headbands from the Spaniard. They even smelled the sweaty souvenirs right away.

Nadal got the best souvenir of all on Sunday, with his eighth Rome title and 32nd ATP Masters 1000 crown after a three-set win over Alexander Zverev. The 31-year-old won his first Rome title back in 2005.

Nadal has regained his grip on the No. 1 ranking going into the French Open, as his record improved to 23-2 in 2018. His only loss on clay has come at the hands of Dominic Thiem in Madrid.
