New York City offers a lot for the millions of people that visit each year—on top of tennis at the US Open. During media day, the top pros were asked what they would do with one hour of free time in Manhattan. As anyone would have guessed, shopping is a popular choice, with players eager to hit up famous storefronts on Fifth Avenue.

Bianca Andreescu thought outside the box (and outside the time restraints) with a desire to see Lion King on Broadway. That would be more upwards of three hour—as Jack Sock would know—but she may have the time with a day off between matches.

Ashleigh Barty also broke the mold. The reigning French Open champion wants to explore Central Park.

Main-draw action kicks off Monday with Barty taking on Zarina Diyas, Roger Federer facing Sumit Nagal and Serena Williams clashing against Maria Sharapova.
