Rafael Nadal's honeymoon might have been short-lived after his October 19 wedding, but he wasn't having it with a question about a supposed post-wedding slump in terms of on-court results.
The question came from reporter Ubaldo Scanagatta, previously infamous in 2019 for falling asleep during one of Nadal's Australian Open press conferences. That was the rare occurrence when a player could turn tables on a reporter and ask about his own slumping. This one, in London, bookended their year of memorable press conferences together, also serving as the instance in which both parties were conscious for the duration of it.
