On Thursday, Noami Osaka sealed her spot in the Australian Open final with an ace and a prayer. Her 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 win over Karolina Pliskova ended with a challenge going her way on match point.

The world No. 4 has come a long way. One year ago, the 21-year-old was ranked No. 72 and now she's one match away from reaching No. 1. Less than three weeks ago, she was publicly criticizing her behavior on court and now she's calmly riding a 13-match Grand Slam win streak.
