Maybe he just wanted to be closer to the action?

At the Wimbledon qualifying event on Tuesday, one pigeon wanted to be really up close to the action. The match between Miyu Katu and Amandine Hesse was being played on Court 11 in Roehampton when the intruder struck, midway through the second set.

The Wimbledon hawk, named Rufus, does his business at the main event at the All England Club, so he wasn't around to help.

Maybe the enthusiastic pigeon was good luck because Katu would win the next two sets for a, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 win.
