In the quarterfinals of Washington, Jack Sock was up against a tall challenge in Ivo Karlovic. The 37-year-old, fresh from winning his seventh title in Newport, stands at 6'11" so Sock, who is a respectable 6'3",  got innovative:

Though he won the point, the 23-year-old Sock lost the match, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (6). Karlovic will look to extend his winning streak to eight when he on takes on another American in the semifinals,  the winner of fellow giant John Isner and Steve Johnson.

Sock was mixing things up well before his quarterfinal loss. He crashed Isner's post-match press conference on Thursday:

Sock even asked a question of his own near the end of the presser. Perhaps he can have a career in media after he's done hitting the ball.
