Who doesn’t love a good throwback video?

Props to Twitter user @1hbhdtl for unleashing this gem for Tennis Twitter to enjoy. In the clip, a pair of then 13-year-olds, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Casper Ruud, are asked a series of questions to help viewers get a basic sense of who they are.

But before we highlight that portion, let’s talk about hair. Specifically, how the pair of Grand Slam finalists have gone in opposite directions a decade later, as pointed out by Ruud himself.

“Hey @steftsitsipas I guess we swapped hairstyles? You now have long and I have shorter while before it was opposite,” tweeted Ruud, who at the time, rocked a look more in line from the Andrey Rublev school of hair.

When the teenage Tsitsipas was asked to share his biggest weapon, he responded with backhand and volley. Ruud answered with forehand—no surprise there. The same could be said for selecting their idols: Rafael Nadal for the Norwegian and Roger Federer for the Greek.

Asked, “In 10 years, what do you think about your tennis career?” it’s fair to say both might not have expected to be where they are today as budding ATP Tour stars.

Said Tsitsipas, “I don’t know. But I want [to] do my best to be in the top.”

Ended current world No. 3 Ruud, “If I work hard, maybe Top 100, Top 50 or something.”

Casual Casper is a long-term trait, it seems!
