Five of the world’s top female tennis players participated in a spelling bee recently for the WTA, and let’s just say that some fared better than others. We’ll cut them a break, though; some European names are awfully tricky.
Belinda Bencic, Karolina Pliskova, Simona Halep, Angelique Kerber and Garbine Muguruza were put to the test.
They struggled with Muguruza—only Bencic nailed it (Garbine did too, but that doesn’t count)—and then all but Muguruza whiffed on the spelling of Wozniacki.
