Venus Williams had a largely encouraging experience in Lexington, K.y. (0f all places) this week. She decidedly defeated Victoria Azarenka, dropping just five games, before sister Serena Williams prevailed over her in the inaugural Top Seed Open's second round.

Before that, Venus took a few moments—or a day, as it were—to share her at-home routine with Who What Wear. She pulled back the veil, so to speak, on her typical day in this atypical year (and yes, you would all but expect Venus to pull out an actual veil):

A few semi-surprises appear in the mix, among her expected workout, physical therapy, on-court, and EleVen by Venus business routines—and the expected cameo by her beloved pup, Harry.

First, Venus opts for a Tom Brady–branded protein powder when whipping up her at-home shakes; it appears she's faithful to her Game On! TV show pal Rob Gronkowski's former teammate. Next, we learn that Venus favors a good shimmy while the shake is in the blender.

Perhaps most surprising is how many slice backhands she hits over the course of the footage of her tennis practice.

Though released in August, the Who What Wear featurette was certainly shot earlier this summer, as evidenced by Venus offering that pro tennis would not kick into gear again before July, maybe not this year. Thankfully, for all in the global tennis community, inroads have been made including the strategic, public health–appropriate "bubble" approach.

Venus can next be seen in action at the Western & Southern Open, transported from Cincinnati to New York in this era of COVID-19, ahead of starting her 2020 US Open campaign.
