Roger Federer has taken to emojis like a pre-teen with their very first iPhone. He just announced—via Twitter, of course—that he’s returning to the tour in Miami.

The 34-year-old has been out of action since the Australian Open after undergoing minor knee surgery, but has been regularly posting updates on Twitter.

Fed’s affinity for replacing words with tiny expressive images has become so strong that emojis have become part of the RF brand. Nike just released three new shirts with an emoji of Federer’s head in the design.

Federer posted a hint of himself playing tennis with a palm tree terrain as the backdrop just days before his Miami Open announcement, but the speculation and anticipation carried on.
