It wasn’t long ago that Caroline Wozniacki's year was dampened by very real retirement rumors after sinking to her lowest ranking in over a decade.
But lately, things have quickly turned around for the 26-year-old, climbing from No. 74 to No. 22 after two incredible tournaments.
First, Wozniacki reached the her fourth US Open semifinal before falling to eventual champion Angelique Kerber. Then in her next appearance, at the WTA Premier event in Tokyo, she beat local hero Naomi Osaka in the final for her 24th career WTA title.
