For the second year in a row, Alexander Zverev has qualified for the ATP Finals in London. The 21-year-old is still eligible for the Next Gen ATP Finals in Milan, but he's left that category far behind him.

Ranked No. 5, Zverev is the fifth player to qualify for London behind Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Juan Martin del Potro.

Zverev has enjoyed a strong 2018 campaign, adding three titles to his career haul of nine. He won crowns in Munich, Madrid and Washington. He finally broke through to week two of a Grand Slam, reaching the quarterfinals in Paris.

The German is into his first semifinal in Shanghai thanks to wins over Nikoloz Basilashvili, Alex De Minaur and Kyle Edmund—all in straight sets. He's playing well right now, to say the least:

Zverev's best run in Shanghai this week has come in just his third appearance at the Asian Masters 1000 event. He's seeking his fourth career Masters title and will face Novak Djokovic on Saturday.
