Of all of the female players in our 10 To Watch series, Ashleigh Barty is the one that stands above the rest. Barty isn't just somebody to watch in the future—she's a player people are very familiar with right now.

The 22-year-old is ranked No. 18, and has already won a WTA title, the Malaysian Open in 2017, as well as reached three more WTA finals. The Malaysian Open last year included top players like Elina Svitolina, Carla Suarez Navarro, Caroline Garcia and Elise Mertens. The Australian scored four Top 10 wins in 2017 over Venus Williams, Johanna Konta, Karolina Pliskova and Jelena Ostapenko.

Though standing at only 5'5'', Barty's game packs a big punch, powered by a huge, spin-heavy forehand. She boasts a well-rounded game with a natural comfort level at the net, as proven by her six career WTA doubles titles and four Grand Slam final appearances (with Casey Dellacqua).

As she continues to get more singles breakthroughs under her belt, Barty is only going to become a bigger force on the WTA tour.
