The Argentine fired 12 aces to take out Grigor Dimitrov 6-4, 6-2 as he continues his comeback from wrist surgery. Also in Stuttgart, No. 6 seed Viktor Troicki fell to qualifier Florian Mayer, 6-4, 7-6 (4). Mayer teamed up with Philipp Oswald to defeat the dream team (at least a dream for one American teenager) of Del Potro and Taylor Fritz in the first round.
