Andy Murray was pushed to the brink once again in Paris, needing five sets to top French wildcard Mathias Borgue, 6-2, 2-6, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3. In a post-match interview with ex-coach Amelie Mauresmo, the Scot said, understandably, that he was tired. Stan Wawrinka had a noticeably easier time than his first round as he topped Taro Daniel, 7-6 (7), 6-3, 6-4. Americans Jack Sock and John Isner both advanced in straight sets (over Dustin Brown and Kyle Edmund, respectively).
