SURPRISE, Ariz.(AP) Andre Agassi reached the final of his first event on the 30-and-older Outback Champions Series, beating Wayne Ferreira 6-3, 6-3 on Saturday in the Cancer Treatment Centers of America tournament.

Agassi, playing in his first competition since retiring after a third-round loss in the 2006 U.S. Open, broke Ferreira in the first game of the match and again to close out the first set.

Agassi will play Todd Martin in the final on Sunday at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex. He beat Martin in five sets to win the 1999 U.S. Open.

One of six men to win all four major singles titles, the 39-year-old Agassi is playing in the tournament as a favor to Jim Courier and has no plans to play the Champions Series full-time.
