Former Wimbledon semifinalist Alexandra Stevenson is in the qualifying draw at the Midland, Michigan Challenger. Now ranked No. 335, the 30-year-old Stevenson won her first round match on Sunday. The daughter of NBA legend Julius Erving, Stevenson has struggled with injuries and fitness since reaching the final four of Wimbledon in 1999. The former world No. 18 won the Midland title in 1998, but had a 12-24 record in 2010 while competing in Futures, Challengers and WTA qualifying.—Matthew Cronin
