PARIS (AP) When the French Open draw is revealed Friday, much of the attention will be on the paths presented to two men: Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
Nadal is bidding for a record seventh title at Roland Garros. Djokovic will be trying to become only the third man in history to win four consecutive Grand Slam tournaments.
Nadal is seeded No. 2; Djokovic is No. 1. They can meet in Paris only in the June 10 final, and that is what many people expect to happen.
By winning their two recent matchups in clay-court finals, Nadal stopped a seven-match losing streak against the Serb - including in the past three major finals - and reasserted himself on his favorite surface.
Since 2005, Nadal is 220-9 on clay, a .961 winning percentage.
