Uzbek Akgul Amanmuradova has overcome India's Sania Mirza 6-7 (7), 6-3, 6-4 to reach the final of the Asian Games. Amanmuradova will meet China’s Shuai Peng, who upended Kimiko Date-Krumm of Japan 7-6 (6), 3-6, 6-2.
Mirza and Vishnu Vardhan did reach the finals of the mixed doubles, while another Indian, Somdev Devvarman, assured himself of a second medal by reaching the men's singles semifinals with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over China's Ze Zhang.
