Kevin Anderson reveals he had to call his physio during the night following his semifinal victory against John Isner at Wimbledon.
Anderson won the semifinal 26-24 in the fifth, playing six hours and 36 minutes—the longest Grand Slam semifinal and the third-longest men's match in history. He had also played more than four and half hours in the quarterfinals.
"I really had to dig deep. It was very emotional getting through," Anderson told TennisTV. "When you're on court for that length of time, the feet take a bit of a beating."
