The ATP has announced that Emirates is becoming its presenting sponsor in what it described as "the largest sponsorship in the history of the ATP."
Official figures were not released, but estimates suggest it is worth at least $10 million a year. The company will be the premier partner of the ATP, and also keep its title sponsorship of the ATP rankings. The new deal will see its logo on the sides of the net at all ATP events.
Previously, it was a position occupied by former presenting sponsor Corona.
ATP CEO Chris Kermode, speaking at the ATP Tour Finals, said that the tour has reached a record amount in sponsorship with its recent deals. In London, it announced that French auto company Peugoet and Chinese online broadcaster Le Sport had become platinum sponsors. It also recently signed Maui Jim sunglasses, and Infosys.
