Alicia Molik and Olivia Rogowska have been given wildcards into the Australian Open women's draw, and Bernard Tomic, Jason Kubler and Carsten Ball have been given wildcards into the men's draw. One wildcard remains open for each field.
Wildcards had already been awarded to Justine Henin, Tennis Australia playoff winner Casey Dellacqua and USTA playoff winner Coco Vandeghwe on the women's side, with slots also reserved for the French reciprocal wildcard and the Asian wildcard. On the men's side, Tennis Australian playoff winner Nick Lindahl and USTA playoff winner Ryan Harrison had secured their slots, with the French reciprocal wildcard and Asian wildcard still pending.
