Victoria Azarenka defends the performance of her close friend, No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki, who was blown out by Daniela Hantuchova in the third round of Roland Garros, 6-1, 6-3.

"I saw Caroline, and she really was upset and devastated about the loss," said No. 4 Azarenka, who reached the fourth round with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Roberta Vinci. "But she's 20 years old. She's No. 1 in the world. I don't know how many matches she won this year and how many tournaments. I mean, one little slap, even if it is Grand Slam, it shouldn't bring you down. I think she's an amazing player. The criticism that she gets, I mean, people have their own opinions. But I think she's doing a good job. Every player has their own way, and you shouldn't compare to this player was doing this, so maybe the other one has to do the same. Everybody has their own path."
