After defeating Milos Raonic at the Paris/Bercy Masters 1000, French veteran Julien Benneteau tells the blog Love Means Nothing that the Canadian has potential but still has holes in his game. Raonic ended the year ranked No. 29.
"On his first serve, I probably only won 10 percent of the points, it was grotesque," Benneteau said. "He made a few mistakes on his serve early in the third set but up until then I maybe only got as far as deuce on his serve a couple of times. Paradoxically, his return isn’t that super. He doesn’t get the serve back often. He’s a lot better on his serve than on his return. But he’s only 20 and he’s going to be tough. Anyone who’s going to be on the tour for a while is really going to have to learn to deal with him."
