PARIS (AP)—John Isner has lost in the third round of the French Open to Tomas Berdych, 6-2, 6-2, 6-1.

Isner’s defeat Friday left the United States with two players in the men’s draw—Andy Roddick and Robby Ginepri.

The No. 17-seeded Isner had 38 aces in his second-round win but only nine against Berdych, and he lost serve seven times. Berdych, who had 43 winners and 10 unforced errors, will play No. 4 Andy Murray.
